MESSAGE BY THE HONORARY CONSUL

Aloha!

I am Bede Dhammika Cooray, the newly appointed Honorary Consul. Welcome to the Sri Lankan/Hawaii Consulate website.

The goal of this website is to promote a positive relationship between Sri Lanka and the United States, and provide an easy way to contact the Honorary Sri Lankan Consulate in Hawaii.

While Sri Lankans have been present in Hawaii for many years, it is time to expand our public presence and make our services more accessible to those who are interested in investing in, trading with, or visiting Sri Lanka.

The mission of the Honorary Sri Lankan Consulate in Hawaii is also to help students, workers, and visitors from Sri Lanka, here in Hawaii, with any emergency matters or assistance they may need.

While comprehensive information is available on the Sri Lankan Embassy website. I would like to offer the citizens of the State of Hawaii and the Sri Lankans residing in Hawaii a source for “local” support.
